What we collect
When you request a free second opinion we collect your first name, email address, phone number, and your student's graduation year. We also record the marketing parameters attached to your visit so we know which ad or link brought you here.
Who this is for. This service is for parents and guardians, and for students aged 13 and older with a parent or guardian's knowledge. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email jessica@pomcollegeconsulting.com and we will delete it.
Information stored in your browser. When you book a call, we save a short-lived record in your browser (local storage): a booking token, your first name, and your chosen appointment day, time and call type (phone or video). We use it only to complete your booking and to remind you, if you return to this page, that you already have a call booked. The booking token is deleted when you confirm. The rest is deleted when you restart your booking, or within about 24 hours of starting it (it is removed the next time you open the page after that). We do not use this record for advertising or tracking. You can also clear it any time in your browser settings.
How we use it
We use your information to schedule and prepare for your second opinion, to confirm your appointment, and to follow up about that conversation. We do not sell your personal information for money. Our advertising tools may count as "sharing" under California law (see below).
Service providers
We use trusted providers for scheduling, email, and customer relationship management. They may process your information only to provide those services to us, and may not use it for their own purposes.
Advertising and analytics tools
We use advertising and analytics tools on this site, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads (conversion tracking and remarketing), and Microsoft Clarity. They use cookies and similar technologies to measure how the site is used, to understand which ads work, and to build advertising audiences that may be used to show our ads on other sites.
If you have not opted out, we may send Google a securely hashed (scrambled) version of the email address or phone number you give us, so Google can match it to ad clicks. Clarity records how visitors use the page (clicks, scrolling, and page views); form entries are masked and not recorded. These providers may receive information such as your device, browser, and pages visited.
To opt out: use the "Your Privacy Choices" link below or turn on a browser opt-out signal (Global Privacy Control); we remember your choice for 12 months. You can also manage ads at adssettings.google.com or block cookies in your browser. Opting out of ads does not stop us from using your information to schedule your appointment.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time by emailing jessica@pomcollegeconsulting.com. You can opt out of follow-up messages at any time.
